EGIC is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Material Planning Supervisor to join our Supply Chain team. The Material Planning Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring the timely availability of raw materials, components, and packaging materials required for production while maintaining optimal inventory levels and minimizing shortages, excess stock, and obsolescence. The role will work closely with Production Planning, Procurement, Warehouse, Production, Quality, Finance, and suppliers to ensure material availability and support uninterrupted production operations. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain material requirements plans (MRP) based on production plans, demand forecasts, inventory levels, and material lead times.

Ensure the availability of all required raw materials, components, and packaging materials in line with production requirements.

Review MRP outputs and translate production requirements into material purchase and replenishment requirements.

Monitor material availability against production schedules and identify potential shortages in advance.

Coordinate with Procurement to ensure timely placement and follow-up of purchase orders.

Monitor supplier delivery schedules and escalate potential delays that may impact production.

Maintain appropriate safety stock, reorder points, minimum/maximum stock levels, and inventory parameters .

Analyze inventory levels and identify opportunities to reduce excess and slow-moving inventory.

Monitor material consumption and compare actual usage against planned requirements.

Coordinate with Production Planning to align material availability with production schedules.

Work closely with Warehouse teams to ensure accurate inventory records and material availability.

Investigate inventory discrepancies and coordinate corrective actions with relevant departments.

Monitor material lead times and supplier performance and highlight risks affecting continuity of supply.

Develop material shortage reports and communicate critical shortages to management and relevant stakeholders.

Establish and maintain a material shortage escalation process to minimize production interruptions.

Review changes in production plans, customer demand, BOMs, or material specifications and assess their impact on material requirements.

Coordinate with Engineering, Production, and Quality regarding new materials, material substitutions, engineering changes, and product modifications.

Ensure accurate and up-to-date BOMs, material master data, lead times, planning parameters, and inventory information within the ERP/MRP system.

Monitor obsolete, excess, and slow-moving materials and develop action plans to minimize inventory losses.

Support new product launches by ensuring material availability according to approved timelines.

Participate in S&OP and supply planning activities and provide material availability and inventory insights.

Prepare regular reports and dashboards covering material availability, shortages, inventory levels, supplier deliveries, and planning performance.

Analyze material planning KPIs and recommend corrective and preventive actions.

Identify opportunities to improve material planning processes, reduce inventory costs, and increase supply chain efficiency.

Lead and supervise the Material Planning team, assigning responsibilities and monitoring individual and team performance.

Coach and develop team members to strengthen material planning capabilities.

Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and supply chain standards.

Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field .

5–8 years of relevant experience in Material Planning, Supply Planning, MRP, or Supply Chain Planning.

Previous experience in a supervisory or team-lead role is preferred.

Experience in a manufacturing environment is required.

Strong understanding of MRP, material requirements planning, inventory management, procurement processes, and production planning .

Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and cross-functional coordination skills.

Strong knowledge of MS Excel and data analysis.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.

Strong organizational and follow-up skills.

Preferred Skills Strong knowledge of MRP and material replenishment processes .

Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms .

Knowledge of BOM structures, lead times, safety stock, reorder points, and planning parameters.

Experience in inventory optimization and working capital improvement.

Understanding of S&OP / IBP processes .

Strong supplier coordination and follow-up skills.

Good understanding of manufacturing and production processes.

Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
