Senior HVAC Shop Drawing Engineer (Revit Specialist)

Your tasks

About the Role We are looking for an experienced Senior HVAC Shop Drawing Engineer with advanced hands-on expertise in Autodesk Revit (MEP) to lead and produce fully coordinated, constructible HVAC shop drawings and BIM models for major projects.

• Develop and review detailed HVAC shop drawings using Revit MEP (Ductwork, Chilled Water piping, VRF, Equipment layouts, and Sections).
• Lead MEP spatial coordination, run clash detection tests (via Revit / Navisworks), and resolve routing conflicts with architectural, structural, and other MEP trades.
• Extract accurate builders' work (openings/sleeves) drawings and schedules directly from the BIM model.
• Prepare and manage HVAC Bill of Quantities (BOQ), material take-offs (MTO), and equipment schedules directly from Revit.
• Review design drawings, specifications, and project standards to verify constructability and code compliance (SMACNA, ASHRAE, NFPA).
• Mentor and supervise junior shop drawing engineers and draftspersons.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
• 5 to 8+ years of proven experience in HVAC shop drawings and MEP contracting.
• Expert proficiency in Autodesk Revit MEP is mandatory (Family creation, template management, and BIM workflows).
• Solid knowledge of Navisworks Manage (Clash Detection) and AutoCAD.
• Deep understanding of international standards (SMACNA, ASHRAE, NFPA) and local building codes.
• Strong coordination and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for constructability.
