Content Officer

Job Title: Content Officer Location: Surulere, Lagos Employment Type: Full-Time, On-site | Monday to Saturday Salary: 150,000 Gross Monthly About Us We are a fresh meat and frozen foods business seeking a creative, dependable Content Officer to develop ideas and produce engaging videos, photographs, and graphics. You will work with our Social Media and Marketing Officer and business team to showcase our products, explain our services, build customer confidence, and support sales. What You Will Do

• Develop content ideas, hooks, and simple scripts based on product priorities, customer questions, and agreed campaigns
• Produce content including videos, photographs, graphics, and other promotional materials for digital and traditional channels, including social media and our website, adapting content to suit each channel
• Work from agreed content briefs and meet delivery deadlines
• Film with the butchery and office teams, including periodic abattoir visits with company-provided transport
• Prepare for recording sessions, guide participating staff, and capture important production activities promptly
• Edit engaging short-form videos using CapCut or similar tools, and create clear graphics using Canva or similar tools
• Check completed content for visual quality, spelling, product accuracy, and brand consistency
• Build a bank of approved content for upcoming promotions and scheduled publishing
• Keep raw footage, editable files, and completed assets organised in company-accessible folders
• Review audience feedback and content performance with the Social Media and Marketing Officer to improve future work
• Provide basic publishing support when the Social Media and Marketing Officer is unavailable, using agreed calendars, captions, and templates

What We Are Looking For

• Practical experience creating business or brand content, supported by a portfolio is an advantage
• Good mobile filming, short-form video editing, and basic graphic design skills
• Ability to suggest ideas and complete agreed work without constant reminders
• Attention to detail, good communication, and reliable delivery
• Willingness to learn our products, customer needs, and brand voice
• Comfort filming fresh meat, butchery activities, and meat-processing environments
• Basic familiarity with social media publishing, or willingness to learn

Working Arrangements

• Monday to Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
• Saturday: 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Working equipment and transport for approved content visits are provided. Candidates must reside within Surulere or its immediate environs. <
