Mechanization Manager

Job Description -EGAST is hiring an Agricultural Mechanization Manager to join our team and manage all agricultural machinery, equipment, and mechanization activities across one of the company’s farms. This role ensures the availability, efficiency, and proper operation of tractors, agricultural machinery, and equipment, while managing maintenance, operating costs, and the mechanization team.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and supervise all agricultural machinery, equipment, and tractors at the farm.

Develop and implement equipment operation and maintenance plans.

Monitor the performance, efficiency, and operational readiness of tractors and agricultural machinery.

Develop and follow up on preventive and periodic maintenance programs and repair activities.

Manage the mechanics, technicians, and drivers and monitor their performance.

Monitor fuel and spare parts consumption and work on reducing waste and operating costs.

Prepare regular reports on equipment condition, breakdowns, maintenance activities, and related costs.

Coordinate with Agricultural Sector Managers to ensure the availability of machinery according to operational requirements and agricultural plans.

Monitor equipment utilization, working hours, and productivity.

Identify future machinery and equipment requirements and provide recommendations to management.

Follow up on the purchasing and receiving of spare parts and equipment-related supplies.

Improve equipment utilization efficiency and minimize breakdowns and downtime.

Job Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering , or a relevant field.

Minimum 8 years of experience in agricultural mechanization, preferably within large-scale farms.

Strong experience in managing tractors, agricultural machinery, and farm equipment.

Proven experience in managing mechanics, technicians, and drivers.

Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance planning and repair activities.

Ability to analyze operating and maintenance costs and fuel consumption.

Strong leadership, organizational, planning, and management skills.

Good command of Microsoft Office , with strong Excel skills preferred.

Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work effectively in a farm-based operational environment.
