Tech Delivery Lead

£55,000 - £75,000 GBP Hybrid WORKING Location: Birmingham/Manchester/Leeds, Central London, Greater London - United Kingdom Type: Permanent

We're looking for an experienced Delivery Lead to join a growing technology consultancy delivering large-scale digital transformation programmes across the UK public sector. This is an opportunity to lead complex software and cloud delivery projects, working alongside multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative solutions for high-profile government organisations. This role will require active SC Clearance. You'll play a key role in driving delivery from discovery through to implementation, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope and to a high standard.

What you'll be doing

• Leading the successful delivery of complex digital, cloud and technology programmes.
• Working closely with Product Owners, Project Managers, Business Analysts, Developers and SMEs to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Managing stakeholder relationships across both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Leading delivery teams, removing blockers and ensuring projects remain on track.
• Applying Agile, Waterfall or hybrid delivery approaches depending on project requirements.
• Supporting planning, governance, reporting, risk management and delivery assurance.
• Using delivery tools such as Jira, Confluence and Microsoft Project to manage programme progress.
• Leveraging modern AI and GenAI tools, including Copilot and similar technologies, to improve delivery efficiency.
• Analysing delivery data and project metrics to support informed decision-making.

What we're looking for

• Experience delivering software, cloud or SaaS projects within Agile or Waterfall environments.
• Previous experience in project delivery, programme management, software development, QA or solution design.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience leading or mentoring delivery teams.
• Active Security Clearance
• Ability to translate business requirements into clear delivery plans and technical documentation.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.

Desirable experience

• Delivery experience within government, healthcare or other highly regulated industries.
• Understanding of software architecture, integration patterns and secure solution design.
• Experience with DevOps tooling such as Git, Jenkins, Docker or Kubernetes.
• Exposure to AWS, Azure and/or Google Cloud.
• Experience working within large, complex delivery environments.
