We're working with a specialist technology consultancy delivering bespoke software solutions for complex and mission-critical environments. They're looking for experienced Senior Software Engineers to join their growing engineering teams. This is a hands-on role for engineers who enjoy building software, working with modern technologies and solving complex technical problems alongside experienced development teams.

The Role

As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll be involved across the full software development lifecycle, including:

• Designing, developing and testing bespoke software solutions.
• Building scalable applications using Java and AWS .
• Working across the full stack, with TypeScript, JavaScript and React highly desirable.
• Developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab.
• Deploying applications across public and private cloud environments.
• Working within Agile development teams.
• Contributing to technical design and architecture decisions.
• Working closely with clients to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
• Supporting software through implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement.

What We're Looking For

• Around 5-8 years' commercial software engineering experience .
• Strong Java development experience.
• Strong AWS experience.
• Full-stack experience with TypeScript, JavaScript and React is highly desirable.
• Experience with modern software development practices and CI/CD.
• Comfortable working in Agile environments.
• Strong understanding of software design, development and testing.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work directly with clients.
• Consultancy experience is desirable , particularly experience delivering bespoke software solutions.

Security Clearance

Due to the nature of the projects, you must be able to obtain UK security clearance . Candidates with current SC clearance are preferred , although exceptional candidates who are clearable will also be considered.
