Senior LNG Technologist Contract - Investigo

Senior LNG Technologist | C# | Energy Trading | LNG | Architecture

A major energy trading organisation is looking for a Senior LNG Technologist to play a key role in the modernisation of its front-office trading platform. This is a hands-on position focused on refactoring and evolving a large-scale C# estate rather than maintaining legacy systems. Working closely with traders, senior technology leadership and business stakeholders, you'll help shape the future architecture and engineering direction of a critical LNG trading environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the redesign and modernisation of a complex trading platform.
• Assess existing functionality and determine what should be retained, improved or removed.
• Drive architectural and engineering decisions across the platform.
• Work directly with traders and front-office stakeholders to deliver business-critical solutions.
• Contribute hands-on to development whilst providing technical leadership.

Requirements

• Strong C#/.NET development background.
• Experience within energy or commodities trading environments.
• Proven architecture and system design experience.
• Track record of modernising or refactoring legacy applications.
• Ability to engage with both technical and business stakeholders.
• Comfortable operating in a hands-on technical leadership role.

Desirable

• Experience LNG trading.
• EOS or Endur.
• Python.
• AWS.
• Kubernetes.
• Kafka.
• Redis.
• CI/CD and cloud-native technologies.
