Relationship Manager

London Permanent 5 days in office £50,000 - £60,000

cer Financial are working alongside an international bank, who are based in London. They are seeking a Relationship Manager to work with them on a permanent basis.

The role holder is primarily responsible for driving profitable volume growth through value added sales and service of Commercial / SME customers. They target and manage an assigned portfolio of customers within the commercial credit business segments.

The responsibilities will include:

  • Provide RM/RSO support on complex credit queries as a subject matter expert.
  • Support HoBB with MI, governance, meetings, minutes and presentations.
  • Support branch initiatives, including moratorium projects and rota planning.
  • Prepare and present cases to Country Credit Committee.
  • Promote employee engagement and behaviours.
  • Build client relationships through networking, visits and appointments.
  • Generate Trade, FX and Sirat referrals.
  • Achieve account opening and deposit targets.
  • Manage branch portfolios in line with TCF guidelines.
  • Achieve branch lending and deposit growth targets.
  • Negotiate client asset and deposit proposals.
  • Lead branch MI and data analysis.
  • Support interns with training and project requirements.
  • Submit proposals to Credit and Account Opening teams.
  • Deliver lending disbursements in line with branch targets.
  • Manage credit renewals within policy and deadlines.
  • Monitor compliance entries and transactions.
  • Ensure account openings meet SLA requirements.
  • Monitor excesses and manage key account KRIs.
  • Apply the Balanced Scorecard across Customer, Colleague, Control and Commercial objectives.
  • Coach and train RM/RSOs to achieve KPIs.
  • Support Quality Assurance and stakeholder units.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Minimum 5 years’ banking/RM experience and line management experience.
  • Hold required professional qualifications and maintain CPD records.
  • Comply with regulatory requirements, Individual Conduct Rules and Certification Regime.
  • Demonstrate product, process, client, portfolio and regulatory knowledge.
