Interim Group Accountant - Carnegie Consulting

A leading financial services business is looking for an experienced Financial Reporting Accountant to join its Group Finance team on an interim basis for the next 6-7 months.

The role will take ownership of the preparation of statutory and consolidated financial statements and the associated year-end external audit process.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of statutory and consolidated group accounts for a number of UK entities.
• Prepare and update financial statements, disclosures and supporting workpapers in line with UK GAAP / FRS 102 .
• Manage the audit process and act as a key contact for external auditors.
• Research technical accounting issues and prepare clear accounting papers and recommendations.
• Coordinate inputs from Finance, Tax, Legal and other stakeholders to meet reporting deadlines.
• Identify and resolve accounting, reporting and audit issues proactively.
• Ensure all reporting and audit deliverables are accurate, well documented and review-ready.

About You

• Qualified Accountant - ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
• Strong hands-on experience preparing statutory and consolidated financial statements .
• Good technical knowledge of UK GAAP / FRS 102 .
• Proven experience managing external audits
• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting skills.
• Able to work autonomously and take ownership of deliverables.
• Excellent communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills.
• Financial services or asset management experience would be advantageous.
