Our client is a growing boutique banking group with a positive, collaborative and professional working culture. It’s London subsidiary is now recruiting for an experienced Head of Finance to lead the day-to-day operation of the Finance function. This role will have responsibility for covering financial control, management information, regulatory reporting (including being responsible for the preparation and ongoing development of the Bank’s ICAAP and ILAAP, including capital and liquidity planning and stress testing), financial planning and analysis, accounting and tax reporting. There is an important commercial finance aspect to the role to support the bank’s ambitious growth plans. The role’s remit will work across the Finance agenda, Executive and Board matters, and bank-wide strategic initiatives. The individual will be tasked with building and maintaining effective relationships with auditors, tax advisers, regulators and Group stakeholders. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Professional accountancy qualification, such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA. Min. 12-15 years post-qualification experience required.
  • Demonstrated senior finance leadership experience within abanking environment.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, accounting principles, financial control, corporate tax and VAT.
  • Demonstrated experience of regulatory reporting, including Bank of England, PRA and EBA returns, COREP and FINREP.
  • Relevant experience of budgeting, strategic planning, external audit, tax compliance, ICAAP, ILAAP and stress testing.
  • Demonstrated commercial finance experience and the development of decision-useful management information for senior stakeholders.
  • Experience of leading teams, managing performance and delivering through others.
  • Experience of assessing regulatory and accounting developments and translating requirements into practical action.
