Financial Accountant - Goodman Masson
Goodman Masson is supporting a fast-growing, digital-first insurance and reinsurance business with the appointment of a Financial Accountant. The business has established a strong reputation for handling complex and sophisticated risks across international markets and has grown rapidly since launching. It has retained an entrepreneurial culture while investing heavily in technology, data and innovation to support its continued development. This is an exciting time to join the business, with continued growth creating a broad range of opportunities for Finance to support the wider organisation. The team is involved in areas including refinancing, process improvement and potential future M&A, alongside the day-to-day running of the function.
The role
The role has a broad remit across the Group, covering the day-to-day financial control activities of the business alongside wider Finance projects. It is hands-on, with responsibility for areas including journals, reconciliations, general ledger maintenance and financial reporting. There is also exposure to treasury, FX, statutory and regulatory reporting, audit, systems and process improvement. You will work closely with stakeholders across the wider business and have the opportunity to take ownership of your area while contributing to the continued development of the Finance function. This would suit a qualified accountant who enjoys a varied role and wants to be close to the wider business, with the opportunity to get involved in projects and activity beyond the core accounting cycle.
