Finance Operations Manager - Morgan McKinley

We're looking for a Financial Operations Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day financial operations of an international shared service function supporting five legal entities across multiple countries and currencies . This is a role for someone who enjoys being close to the detail, but can also step back and see the bigger picture. You'll lead and support a small team of three while remaining hands-on across management accounts, AP, intercompany, treasury, reconciliations and financial controls.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing monthly management accounts across five entities , working to a tight four-day close
• Reviewing monthly control account reconciliations and ensuring strong financial controls
• Managing international treasury across 20+ bank accounts , multiple currencies and countries
• Preparing cashflow forecasts and managing debt settlements with the overseas parent company
• Reviewing and approving journal entries and AP payments
• Owning day-to-day intercompany and intracompany transactions
• Supporting inventory management, including stock takes, goods-in-transit and discrepancies
• Working with external auditors and developing a more streamlined approach to the annual audit
• Producing management reporting and providing insight through a data-driven approach
• Supporting and developing a small shared services team
• Acting as the go-to person for day-to-day financial transactions and controls
• Getting involved in projects and improvements as required by the Finance Director

What we're looking for

You'll ideally be a qualified or QBE accountant with around 3-5 years' accounting experience , including strong exposure to international finance. You'll need:

• Solid experience across intercompany and multi-currency transactions
• Strong Excel skills
• Experience with management accounts, reconciliations and financial controls
• Exposure to external audit
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work to tight deadlines
• Strong communication skills and the confidence to work across an international environment
• A hands-on, analytical and collaborative approach
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 would be advantageous
• Shared service centre experience would be highly beneficial
