Senior Cash & Reporting Assistant Uxbridge | Finance & Accountancy
Are you an experienced Accounts Receivable professional with strong Excel skills and a passion for accuracy? We're looking for a Senior Cash & Reporting Assistant to join a busy and supportive finance team, playing a key role in ensuring the accurate recording, allocation, and reconciliation of incoming cash transactions.
The Role As a Senior Cash & Reporting Assistant, you'll be responsible for managing cash receipting processes, allocating payments, reconciling accounts, and producing reporting that supports the wider Credit Control and Accounts Receivable function. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working with large volumes of financial data.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce company bank statements.
- Match incoming payments against outstanding invoices.
- Allocate payments accurately to customer accounts.
- Process allocations, journals, and refunds.
- Maintain accurate records within the accounting system.
- Analyse and manipulate high-volume transactional data using Excel.
- Generate daily and periodic cash collection reports.
- Work closely with Credit Control and Receipting teams to ensure accurate cash allocation.
- Support the Accounts Receivable and Credit Control teams with ad hoc queries and reporting requirements.
About You
We're looking for an organised and detail-oriented individual who can manage competing priorities while maintaining excellent accuracy.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 5 years' experience within Accounts Receivable, Credit Control, Receipting, or Billing.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas, and data formatting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Desirable
- Experience using multiple accounting systems.
- Experience working with Local Authorities.
- AAT or CICM qualification (or currently studying), or qualified by experience.
- Experience managing large ledgers.
- Available to start immediately.
