The Role:

A major financial services organisation is looking for a Software Engineer to help modernise and enhance a business-critical trading platform used by front office teams.

This is a hands-on engineering role with genuine influence over technology direction, offering the opportunity to work on large-scale platform transformation, modern engineering practices, and cloud adoption within a fast-moving environment.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Deliver enhancements and new capability across a high-impact trading technology platform
  • Design and build scalable applications, services and APIs using modern .NET technologies
  • Contribute to architectural decisions and longer-term technology strategy
  • Drive improvements around automation, resilience, performance and operational efficiency
  • Partner closely with engineering and business stakeholders to translate requirements into practical solutions
  • Support the migration of legacy applications towards modern cloud-native architectures

What You Bring:

  • Strong software engineering capability across C# and .NET
  • Experience working with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server or PostgreSQL
  • Knowledge of API design and distributed application development
  • Exposure to modern engineering practices including DevOps, CI/CD and automated testing
  • Experience modernising or migrating legacy applications to current .NET platforms
  • Cloud experience across AWS, GCP or similar enterprise cloud environments
