Your tasks

What does the role offer? As an Electrical Engineer at X Shore, you will have a versatile and varied daily life spanning the entire chain – from strategic design work to practical support in production. The role is about creating structure, solving technical challenges on-site, and laying the foundation for the company's future electrical platform. You report to the Head of Software and Electronics and work on-site in Nyköping.

Your main responsibilities

  • Documentation & Procurement: Consolidate and structure documentation for wiring, printed circuit boards (PCB), and electrical units so that procurement and manufacturing can take place with the highest precision and reliability.
  • Production Support: Work closely with the production team on the factory floor to support the reworking of wiring, identify tool requirements, and quickly resolve emerging design issues.
  • Change Management: Own and drive updates as well as releases of technical changes for both high-voltage (HV) and low-voltage (LV) systems.
  • Future Development: Take proud ownership of significant parts of the design of X Shore's next-generation EE-platform.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with mechanical, software, and production teams to ensure that the electrical design is both manufacturable and well-documented.

Is this your perfect match? Do you want to be part of shaping the future of sustainable boating? In this role, you will make a real difference from the start by building a stable structure in production while simultaneously shaping X Shore's future electrical platform.

Requirements

Who are you? We are looking for someone who is structured and meticulous, and who enjoys transforming ambiguities into clear documentation as much as standing on the factory floor to solve a practical problem. You take personal ownership, complete what you start, and are a communicative team player who finds it easy to collaborate across technology, production, and procurement.

  • Engineering degree in electrical engineering (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 3–5+ years of experience in electrical design, preferably with a focus on wiring and printed circuit boards (PCB).
  • Experience with both high-voltage (HV) and low-voltage (LV) systems.
  • Good proficiency in reading and creating wiring diagrams, electrical drawings, and wiring documentation.
  • Practical experience working close to production or manufacturing.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written (Swedish is a merit).
  • Ability to work on-site in Nyköping.

It is also a merit if you have

  • Experience developing EE-platforms or electrical architecture from scratch.
  • A background in the marine industry, automotive industry, or another complex hardware environment.
  • Experience with PLM/PDM systems and technical change processes (ECO).
