This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys a diverse and exciting role! Working for a family run business in Hull, you will provide administrative support and assist various departments day-to-day.
Duties
- Coordinating customs clearance, freight arrangements, and export logistics, ensuring all shipments meet customer and transport deadlines.
- Attending export meetings to review incoming orders and align requirements across departments.
- Liaising with the factory to confirm production readiness and on-time completion of export orders.
- Communicating with customers to verify all customs documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant.
- Booking transport for export shipments and managing the full process from collection through to final delivery.
- Acting as the primary point of contact for UK-to-UK transport providers, including DHL and D&P.
- Coordinating with suppliers and transport partners to arrange collection and delivery of component orders.
- Scheduling and booking inbound component deliveries, working closely with factory and warehouse teams to ensure smooth receipt.
The Candidate
- Prior knowledge and practical experience of customs procedures is essential.
- Strong written, numerical and IT skills, with confident proficiency in Excel.
- High level of accuracy and exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills when working with customers, suppliers and internal teams.
- Experience in logistics, freight forwarding, transport or operations would be advantageous.
