I&C Wiring Technician M/F
About the company
Edvance, a subsidiary of EDF and Framatome, carries out projects for a new, safe, and high-performance nuclear industry across the world to build a CO2-neutral future. Its role: to be the architect of the nuclear island for EPR technology reactors. Joining the Edvance collective means being an actor in exciting nuclear projects and contributing to the energy of tomorrow.
The CIC (Control and Command Design and Integration) department of the Engineering & Supply Chain Direction (DESC) of Edvance is in charge of the studies for the PLCs and control systems of EPR-type nuclear power plants. It prescribes, performs, and monitors studies, procurement, programming, and the validation and verification of equipment.
Your tasks
Within the CIC department, you will join a major nuclear project, the Hinkley Point C (HPC) project, and fulfill the role of Systems Integration technician. Your role is strategic: you will be the guarantor of the proper technical integration of the wiring interfaces.
You will be in charge of
- Analyzing the functional needs of the various systems constituting the power plant to understand what each piece of equipment must do.
- Specifying the wired interfaces of the operational control-command (used during normal plant operation, excluding cases of anomaly, incident, or accident): establishing the list of signals and their characteristics, clarifying open points with the engineers responsible for specifications, defining robust design rules, and implementing strategies to optimize response times.
- Ensuring consistency with the control-command programming, particularly for the blocks that connect sensors and actuators (standard diagrams).
- Contributing to configuration management (analyzing deviations and change requests to guarantee the compliance and consistency of a control-command version).
- Collaborating with various teams: systems engineers, electricians, experts, and the supplier SIEMENS for the hardware.
- Driving and monitoring progress: weekly reporting and monitoring of key performance indicators (KPI).
- Providing technical support on wiring and hardware issues at the HPC site.
Requirements
You hold a degree at the Bac +2/3 level in Automatism, Industrial Computing, Electrotechnics, or equivalent training.
You have knowledge in the fields of control-command and electrical wiring.
Knowledge of PLCs such as TXS, Siemens S7, SPPA-T2000 or equivalents, as well as IEC standards relating to control-command, their architecture, and their development cycle, would be a plus.
You are recognized for your organizational skills.
You have an operational level in English, both in writing and speaking. This is essential for producing documents as part of conducting studies, performing steering activities, and managing interfaces with various correspondents. Knowing how to anticipate and prioritize activities is also necessary.
