*Overview*

We are looking for a *caring, reliable, and enthusiastic Cook* to join our childcare team.

The successful candidate will take pride in preparing *nutritious, well-balanced, and child-friendly meals and snacks* while helping create a positive mealtime experience for the children in our care.

*Responsibilities*

• Prepare and serve nutritious and well-balanced meals and snacks for children.
• Follow menus and ensure meals meet the nutritional needs of young children.
• Carefully follow individual children's *dietary restrictions, allergies, and food preferences* as outlined by the centre.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen and food preparation area.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and childcare centre policies and procedures.
• Ensure proper food storage, preparation, and handling practices.
• Work cooperatively with educators and centre staff to support the health and well-being of the children.
• Take pride in providing children with healthy, appealing, and enjoyable food each day.

*Qualifications*

• Valid *Food Handler/Food Safety Certificate*.
• Complete a Valid Vulnerable Sector Check.
• Posses a valid CPR-C Certificate.
• Experience preparing food for children is an asset.
• Knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation practices.
• Ability to accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies with care and attention to detail.
• Reliable, organized, and able to work independently.
• A positive attitude and genuine enjoyment of working in a childcare environment.
