OPEN POSITIONS 1. Year 9 Homeroom Teacher – Cambridge Campus
The successful candidate will take responsibility for the academic, pastoral and general development of Year 9 learners while creating a positive, structured and engaging classroom environment.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Serve as the primary homeroom teacher and provide academic and pastoral support to Year 9 learners. Plan and deliver engaging lessons in accordance with the Cambridge International Curriculum and the school’s approved schemes of work. Prepare lesson plans, learning materials and appropriate teaching resources. Monitor learners’ academic progress, behaviour, attendance and overall wellbeing. Assess learners through continuous assessments, assignments, projects, tests and examinations. Maintain accurate assessment records and prepare learner progress reports within stipulated timelines. Identify learners requiring additional academic support and develop appropriate interventions. Promote critical thinking, creativity, problem-solving and independent learning among students. Establish and maintain effective classroom routines and high standards of learner behaviour. Liaise with subject teachers regarding the academic progress and wellbeing of learners within the homeroom. Communicate professionally with parents and guardians regarding learner progress, behaviour and development. Participate in parent-teacher conferences and other learner review meetings. Provide mentorship, guidance and pastoral care to learners as they transition through adolescence. Integrate appropriate technology and innovative teaching approaches into classroom instruction. Support co-curricular activities, school events, educational trips, assemblies and other programmes. Participate in curriculum planning, departmental meetings, professional development programmes and school improvement initiatives. Promote the school’s Christian ethos, values and culture through professional conduct and interaction with learners. Perform any other teaching or related responsibilities reasonably assigned by the school leadership.
- Early Years Teacher – Cambridge Campus
The successful candidate will provide a stimulating, safe and nurturing learning environment that supports the holistic development of young learners in line with the Cambridge Early Years programme.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Plan and deliver age-appropriate, engaging and play-based learning experiences aligned with the Cambridge Early Years curriculum. Develop weekly and termly lesson plans, schemes of work and appropriate classroom learning activities. Facilitate learning in early literacy, numeracy, communication, creative expression, physical development and personal, social and emotional development. Create an attractive, stimulating and learner-friendly classroom environment. Use play, exploration, storytelling, songs, movement, practical activities and other appropriate strategies to enhance learning. Observe, assess and document each learner’s progress and developmental milestones. Maintain learner portfolios and other appropriate assessment records. Identify individual learning needs and provide differentiated learning support. Support the development of learners’ independence, confidence, communication and social skills. Maintain effective classroom routines and promote positive behaviour using age-appropriate approaches. Ensure learners are appropriately supervised and that their health, safety and wellbeing remain a priority. Establish positive and professional relationships with parents and guardians and provide regular feedback on learner development. Participate in parent-teacher meetings and provide comprehensive learner progress reports. Collaborate with teaching assistants, other teachers and school leaders to support individual learner needs. Organise and participate in classroom activities, assemblies, school events, educational visits and co-curricular programmes. Integrate appropriate educational technology and teaching resources into early years learning. Participate in curriculum reviews, professional development activities and other school improvement initiatives. Model and promote the school’s Christian values and ethos in interactions with learners, colleagues and parents. Undertake any other related responsibilities assigned by the school leadership.
