Responsibilities and duties

  • Development of components intended for suspension, wheels, and tires systems.
  • Direct and constant contact with suppliers.
  • Guidance of CAD and CAE teams during the creation of mathematical models and engineering drawings.
  • Support and monitoring in static and dynamic tests for component validation.
  • Analysis of CAE reports.
  • Failure analysis and issuance of reports.
  • Release of components through the creation of technical documentation.
  • Frequent interaction between different areas of the plant linked to vehicle development and assembly.
  • Participation in technical forums related to product development to present projects and solutions.
  • Preparation of proposals and projects aiming at cost reduction in product production.

Requirements and qualifications

  • Degree in Mechanical/Production/Electrical/Automation/Software Engineering;
  • Knowledge in science and strength of materials, fatigue, vibrations, bolted, welded, and riveted joints, finite element analysis, functioning of vehicle systems, and vehicle component design;
  • Knowledge in suspension systems, vehicle dynamics, and wheels and tires;
  • Experience in the application of electronic air suspension control systems software (ECAS/ELC) – will be a differentiator;
  • Experience in CAN application and analysis (CANalyzer) – will be a differentiator;
  • Interpretation of technical drawings;
  • Knowledge in GD&T
  • Participation in the development and/or manufacturing of welded, stamped, machined, cast, and forged metallic components;
  • Advanced Office Package (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI, etc);
  • Catia V5 or similar 3D software;
  • Advanced English;
