Responsibilities and assignments

  • Design and develop cab exterior parts and systems (grilles, bumpers, side fenders, mudguards, entry steps, step covers, and acoustic package), from development to product implementation and maintenance.
  • Prepare and review technical specifications, 3D models, drawings, and engineering documentation, including layout studies, surface construction, and releases in CATIA V5.
  • Conduct technical feasibility, tolerance, assembly, ergonomics, Gap Catalogue, and component integration analyses, ensuring compliance with project requirements.
  • Responsible for the technical specification of products, definition and planning of tests, as well as monitoring functional, bench, durability, and field tests, ensuring compliance with national and international standards.
  • Perform and interpret Engineering analyses, such as Stress, Fatigue, Moldflow, Modal Analysis, and Crash ECE-R29, supporting the validation and improvement of components.
  • Interact with cross-functional teams and suppliers, participating in technical meetings, design reviews, releases, and program requirement alignment.
  • Collaborate with suppliers in the development of technical studies, tools, prototypes, and series parts, ensuring compliance with requirements and timings.
  • Manage FMEA activities, failure analysis, and problem-solving, defining corrective actions and improvements for Field, Manufacturing, Audits, and Production items.
  • Monitor technical documentation and Engineering processes for changes, releases, and project implementation, including AMP's, PM's, Deviations, Technical Analyses, FMEA's, DU's, and PDM's.
  • Participate in design reviews and technical forums, representing the Body & Trim area in program meetings, releases, and parts monitoring.
  • Evaluate opportunities for improvement and cost reduction, analyzing the technical feasibility of proposals and their impacts on the product.
  • Prepare and analyze technical reports, test instructions, and indicators related to the development, validation, and performance of systems.

Requirements and qualifications

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or related areas.
  • Experience in the development of automotive parts and manufacturing processes (injection, SMC, stamping, extrusion, forming, etc.).
  • Proficiency in CATIA V5 modeling, Mold Flow, and structural calculation.
  • Advanced English for conversation (will be tested during the interview).
