Mining Engineer
Responsibilities:
Support geological surveys, sampling, and site assessments to evaluate mineral deposits
Identify and classify different types of minerals accurately
Participate in and support mineral trading activities
Advise on and help manage mining licensing and regulatory compliance
Liaise with relevant regulatory bodies on permits, licenses, and statutory requirements
Monitor mining sites for safety, efficiency, and environmental compliance
Support processing operations (crushing, separating, refining) and logistics for mined materials
Prepare technical reports and documentation on mining activities
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree (B.Sc.) in Mining Engineering or related field
Minimum of 2 years' relevant experience in mining
Conversant with mining operations and skilled in identifying different minerals
Prior experience in mineral trading is required
Sound knowledge of mining licensing and regulatory processes in Nigeria
Must be registered with COMEG (Council of Mining Engineers and Geoscientists of Nigeria)
Must reside in Abuja, preferably close to Idu, or be willing to relocate
Strong analytical, communication, and reporting skills
High level of integrity and attention to detail
