Product Engineer / Preparer for a leading manufacturing company in Östergötland

Under the direct responsibility of the Director General, you will lead the research and innovation strategy of the establishment, ensuring alignment between its missions, its resources, and the strategic orientations of the École. As the guarantor of consistency between research activities, training requirements, and the challenges of the Marine, you will ensure the link between the Direction de la Recherche et de l'Innovation, higher education and research stakeholders, and the Marine staff. As a member of the governance bodies, you will contribute to defining the strategic orientations of the École and represent the general management before external bodies within the scope of your responsibilities.

In this capacity, you will:

• manage a team of approximately 70 collaborators, including 30 teachers-researchers and 20 doctoral students;
• develop, deploy, and evaluate the research and innovation strategy for the École navale;
• ensure a close link with the Marine staff and various academic and industrial partners for an optimal understanding of the forces' needs and their consideration in developed projects;
• participate in the communication and promotion of the directorate's work;
• drive and animate an innovation dynamic;
• participate in the recruitment processes for the Direction de la Recherche et de l'Innovation.

Among your future challenges, you will lead the construction of the Contrat de Plan État Région 2027-2031 and will carry the ambition of the École navale to elevate IRENav to the level of a unifying research institute serving Marine innovation, a reference in core and emerging naval fields, connected to the maritime world in general.

Military environment of an initial officer training school with access subject to authorization (security clearance).

With higher education in the scientific field, you possess a high level of understanding of Marine environments as well as higher education and research. Knowledge of the innovation bodies and networks of the ministère des Armées will be appreciated. You master professional English.

Your career has allowed you to successfully implement skills in managing executives and teachers-researchers, as well as steering strategy and complex projects, particularly in matters of innovation. You have also demonstrated excellent analytical, synthesis, and decision-making abilities in demanding environments.
