Job Title Building Surveyor Level Senior Surveyor or Associate Director Location City of London Salary and Package £65,000–£85,000, depending on experience + benefits + flexible hybrid working The Opportunity What would you do with a steady flow of Building Surveying instructions and the freedom to help decide how the service is delivered? I’m working with an established consultancy of around 300 people across the UK. Its teams already advise major corporate occupiers, particularly in retail and leisure, and Building Surveying work is coming through those existing relationships. They are looking to appoint a Senior Building Surveyor or Associate Director in London to take responsibility for instructions and play a part in developing the service. The role offers client work ready to pick up, room to influence how the service grows, and flexibility over where you do the work. The Role You’ll deliver professional Building Surveying advice for corporate occupier clients across London and national portfolios. Instructions will include technical due diligence, condition surveys, dilapidations, defect advice and specifications for repair or improvement works. You’ll work directly with clients, manage your own instructions and collaborate with colleagues who already know their portfolios. As the service develops, you’ll also have a say in its reporting standards, processes and the support it needs to deliver consistently good work. What You’ll Bring MRICS qualification and strong professional Building Surveying experience

Confidence delivering technical due diligence, condition surveys and dilapidations work

Clear report writing and sound technical judgement

The ability to manage client instructions independently

A practical approach to advising occupiers on their buildings

Experience with retail, leisure or multi-site portfolios would be valuable, although it is not essential. You could be an established Associate Director or a Senior Surveyor ready to take on a broader role. The scope of the appointment will reflect your experience.
