*Job Overview* As a Kennel Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and care of animals in our facility. This position requires a compassionate individual who is dedicated to providing excellent customer service and maintaining a clean and safe environment for our furry guests. You will be responsible for various tasks that contribute to the overall health and happiness of the animals in your care.

*Duties*

• Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, grooming, and exercising dogs and cats.
• Maintain cleanliness in kennels, play areas, and other animal housing facilities.
• Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to senior staff.
• Must be comfortable being outdoors in all weather conditions .
• Perform heavy lifting as needed when moving supplies or assisting with larger animals.
• Ensure all safety protocols are followed to maintain a safe environment for both animals and staff.

*Requirements*

• Previous experience in animal care or customer service is preferred but not required.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with animal care.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and team members.
• A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their well-being.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Must have own vehicle as we are located where there is NO public transit.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $19.00 per hour
