Assistant Manager of Design & Development and Engineering

1. Product Design and Development

• Study new product information, design products/equipment/production processes, and verify and review production feasibility from Trial to Mass Production.
• Evaluate new product costs in collaboration with the Accounting department to enable the Sales department to provide quotations.
• Verify Drawings to ensure they meet customer requirements.
• Participate in reviews / testing to support new products with the Production department.
• Participate in reviews / testing of product sample quality together with the Quality Control department.
• Manage the team's operational system, evaluate, and develop the team's potential.

1. Engineering and Maintenance

• Plan and control machine maintenance work, including the calibration of various measuring instruments.
• Analyze the causes of malfunctions in machines, molds, and equipment related to production to plan maintenance and prevent recurring problems.
• Prepare and control machine history records, inspection sheet details, and the entire PM plan system.
• Coordinate maintenance and the construction/procurement of new machinery.
• Oversee accident prevention and promote a safety culture in the workplace.

1. Other Tasks

• Prepare documents and comply with ISO 9001 standards.
• Promote productivity improvement activities such as 5S, Safety, and suggestion activities for work improvement.
• Prepare documents regarding quality systems such as APQP, PPAP, or IATF/TS16949.
• Organize the team's workflow as appropriate, evaluate, and develop the team's potential.

Qualifications: Male/Female with high leadership maturity and the ability to manage a team well. Educational background: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, majoring in Electrical, Mechanical, and/or related fields. 5+ years of relevant work experience (experience at a supervisory level in Tooling, Drawing, or Rubber Mold / Injection Mold design will be specially considered). Proficiency in using computers and design software (AutoCAD/SolidWorks) and statistical data analysis. Analytical thinking skills and meticulousness in quality inspection. Skills in product and packaging design and development. Skills in process improvement and problem-solving. Knowledge of Electrical / Mechanical / Machinery equipment systems. Ability to read English documents. Understanding of Mold Design principles and rubber production processes will be specially considered. Knowledge and ability to prepare documents regarding quality systems such as APQP, PPAP, or IATF/TS16949. Experience in Machine Development and Project management skills.
