Quality Control (QC) Engineer – Site & Workshop

Key Responsibilities

Workshop Fabrication Inspection: Perform dimensional, fit-up, and pre-weld inspections on structural and tanks fabrications.

Monitor welding activities to ensure full compliance with approved WPS and engineering drawings.

Identify non-conformances, issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and follow up on root-cause corrective actions.

Inspect raw materials and match them against mill test certificates (MTCs) upon delivery.

Site Operations & Quality Control: Conduct field inspections during installation, erection, and site assembly phases.

Coordinate and oversee third-party NDT inspections and witness mechanical/hydrostatic testing.

Identify non-conformances, issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and follow up on root-cause corrective actions.

Documentation & Compliance: Prepare daily inspection reports and Maintain Quality Control Dossiers (MDR).

Ensure adherence to project Quality Plans (ITP) and company HSE/QA guidelines.

Experience: 3 years of hands-on experience split between site construction and workshop fabrication/welding operations. Technical Skills & Certifications: Strong knowledge of welding inspection standards, codes, and specifications (e.g., AWS, ASME, EN).

Hands-on experience and certificates LII with Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods (VT, PT, MT, UT, RT evaluation).

Familiarity with Material Test Certificates (MTCs), Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), and Procedure Qualification Records (PQR).

Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering from a recognized university (Specialization: Mechanical Production or Metallurgical Engineering).
