*East Side Mario?s* is looking for a motivated and reliable *Line Cook* to join our kitchen team!
Position Overview
As a Line Cook, you?ll play an important role in delivering the quality, consistency, and great taste our guests expect. You?ll work as part of a fast-paced kitchen team, preparing food according to recipes, maintaining cleanliness and organization, and following all food-safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and portion standards
- Set up and stock kitchen stations before and during service
- Maintain proper food temperatures and follow safe food-handling procedures
- Ensure food is prepared and presented consistently
- Keep workstations, equipment, and kitchen areas clean and organized
- Follow proper sanitation and food-safety practices
- Communicate effectively with other kitchen team members and front-of-house staff
- Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating food supplies
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen throughout the shift
- Complete opening, closing, and cleaning duties as required
Qualifications
- Previous kitchen or line-cook experience is an asset
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable
- Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and food-safety procedures
- Comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting kitchen supplies when required
- Food Handler certification is an asset
