*Overview*

Join our vibrant team as a Gardener and unleash your passion for creating stunning outdoor spaces! We are looking for a horticulture enthusiast who will complete our dynamic team. The successful candidate will accompany one other gardener and travel to various sites in and around HRM to address properties to a set specification, to a high standard, and within an agreed time frame.

*Key Responsibilities:*

• Planting shrubs, flowers, and perennials as well as some small trees;
• Maintenance of green spaces, weeding, pruning, deadheading, staking, watering, etc;
• Survey of plants;
• Detect watering or irrigation anomalies of plants;
• Monitoring of plants;
• Landscape inspection to detect the presence of pests and diseases;
• Application of pesticides, fungicides, and diseases;
• Report to Supervisor.

*Requirements:*

• Possess a valid Class 5 drivers license;
• First aid and WHIMIS preferred;
• Enjoy working in a team and be punctual;
• Resourcefulness and autonomy;
• Effective prioritization and time management skills;
• Must be tolerant to climate hazards (heat, rain, cold);
• Physical strength and stamina;
• Must be flexible to work all required shifts, including some weekends and holidays.
