Your tasks

  • Inspect and receive completed mechanical works from the Site Execution Department, including HVAC, Fire Fighting, and Plumbing systems, ensuring compliance with approved shop drawings, technical specifications, and quality standards.
  • Review HVAC installations, including ductwork, piping networks, insulation, ventilation systems, air handling units (AHUs), fan coil units (FCUs), and associated mechanical equipment, ensuring proper installation and compliance with approved project requirements.
  • Inspect Fire Fighting systems, including firefighting piping networks, valves, sprinklers, fire pumps, and associated equipment, verifying installation quality and compliance with approved drawings and applicable standards.
  • Inspect Plumbing works, including water supply, drainage, sanitary fixtures, piping networks, pumps, and associated equipment, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, and installation requirements.
  • Coordinate with the Site Execution Department and other engineering disciplines (Civil, Architectural, and Electrical) to ensure proper integration of mechanical installations and identify potential conflicts affecting work quality.
  • Conduct internal quality inspections and verify completed mechanical works against approved Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), quality checklists, Method Statements, and project quality procedures.
  • Identify and document non-conforming works, issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and follow up on corrective actions with the Site Execution Department until satisfactory closure.
  • Prepare and submit Inspection Requests (IRs/WIRs) to project consultants, coordinate site inspections, and ensure successful handover and approval of completed mechanical works.
  • Follow up on consultants' comments and coordinate with the execution team to ensure timely rectification, re-inspection, and final approval.
  • Inspect mechanical materials and equipment delivered to the site, verifying compliance with approved Material Submittals, Material Inspection Requests (MIRs), technical specifications, and project requirements.
  • Witness and verify mechanical testing and commissioning activities, including pressure testing, leakage testing, flushing, duct leakage testing, air and water balancing, and system functional testing, as applicable.
  • Review testing and commissioning reports, inspection records, equipment certifications, and relevant quality documentation before consultant submission.
  • Prepare periodic QA/QC reports covering inspection progress, approved and pending inspection requests, non-conformities, corrective actions, and outstanding consultant comments.
  • Maintain accurate and organized QA/QC documentation, including inspection checklists, testing reports, material approvals, NCR logs, and consultant approval records.
  • Verify the completion of quality-related snag list items and ensure proper closure of outstanding observations before final handover.
  • Reject non-compliant mechanical works during internal inspections and coordinate the required corrective actions before submitting them for consultant approval.
