EA First is delighted to be partnering with a major international logistics business to recruit an experienced Financial Controller on a 15-month fixed-term contract . Operating across logistics, infrastructure and supply chain solutions, the organisation helps businesses move goods efficiently between international markets through a combination of large-scale physical infrastructure, operational expertise and technology. Reporting into senior finance leadership, the Financial Controller will take ownership of financial control and reporting across key UK operations. Key responsibilities include: Overseeing financial control across revenue, operational costs, capital expenditure and cash flow. Ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting while maintaining strong accounting controls and processes. Supporting statutory accounts, VAT, CIS and other regulatory reporting requirements. Managing internal and external audit activity and ensuring compliance with UK and international accounting standards. Driving improvements across finance systems, cash forecasting and wider financial processes. Partnering with senior stakeholders to support business performance, planning and strategic objectives. Managing key banking relationships and supporting funding requirements. Leading, coaching and developing members of the Finance team while promoting a collaborative, high-performance culture. The successful Financial Controller will be an experienced finance professional with a strong track record of operating within a complex commercial environment. You will ideally demonstrate: A professional finance/accounting qualification , with a degree preferred. A proven track record within finance and financial control. Strong knowledge of UK and international accounting standards . Significant management experience combined with strong leadership capability. Experience managing multiple complex financial issues and competing priorities simultaneously. The ability to operate effectively under tight deadlines and time pressures. Excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
