ACMV Service Manager
Job Description The ACMV Service Manager is responsible for overseeing the servicing, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of Air-Conditioning and Mechanical Ventilation (ACMV) systems. The role involves managing service operations, technicians, customers, subcontractors, and service contracts to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient system performance. Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day ACMV service and maintenance operations.
Plan and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance works for ACMV systems.
Supervise service technicians and subcontractors, including work allocation and performance monitoring.
Attend to customer enquiries, service requests, breakdowns, and technical issues.
Diagnose system faults and recommend appropriate repair or rectification works.
Prepare service reports, quotations, maintenance proposals, and technical recommendations.
Monitor service contracts, maintenance schedules, manpower, materials, and equipment.
Ensure all works comply with relevant safety requirements, codes, standards, and company procedures.
Conduct site inspections and ensure maintenance works are completed according to required standards and timelines.
Monitor project and service costs, including manpower, materials, subcontractor costs, and variation works.
Maintain good relationships with clients, building owners, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors.
Identify opportunities for repair, replacement, upgrading, and additional maintenance services.
Provide technical guidance and training to service technicians.
Investigate recurring equipment faults and implement corrective and preventive measures.
Ensure proper documentation and timely submission of service reports and maintenance records.
Participate in emergency breakdown and after-hours support when required.
ACMV Systems Covered Experience should include some or most of the following: Chilled-water air-conditioning systems
VRV/VRF systems
AHU and FCU systems
Chillers and cooling towers
Pumps and associated mechanical systems
Mechanical ventilation and exhaust systems
Air-handling and ventilation equipment
Ductwork and air-distribution systems
BMS and HVAC control systems
Air-conditioning controls and associated electrical components
Job Requirements Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
Minimum 5 years of relevant ACMV/HVAC experience , with supervisory or management experience preferred.
Strong technical knowledge of ACMV/HVAC servicing, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
Experience managing technicians, subcontractors, service schedules, and maintenance contracts.
Good understanding of preventive and corrective maintenance practices.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Good knowledge of workplace safety requirements and maintenance procedures.
Experience in preparing quotations, service reports, maintenance proposals, and cost estimates.
Good communication and customer-management skills.
Able to work independently and manage multiple service assignments simultaneously.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant maintenance/CMMS software.
Willingness to attend urgent breakdowns or provide after-hours support when required.
Valid driving licence is an advantage.
