Assess fabrics for quality, durability, texture, suitability, and cost.
Work with suppliers to source appropriate materials.
Recommend alternative fabrics or materials when necessary.
Ensure materials selected are suitable for the design, season, target market, and intended use.
Monitor the availability and condition of fabrics, sewing materials, accessories, and other production supplies.
