Sourcing Engineer

1. Responsible for sourcing, selecting, and developing new suppliers for EMS product groups, mechanical parts, metal parts, Casting, plastics, and packaging, including evaluating supplier potential in terms of quality, cost, capacity, and ability to support business requirements.

1. Negotiate prices and commercial terms with suppliers, including conducting Pre-Factory Audits.

1. Follow up on quotations from suppliers and deliver information to the project team accurately and on time.

1. Study and analyze the overview of the Supply Chain in Thailand, including the potential, capacity, and strengths of suppliers.

1. Plan Strategic Sourcing strategies and develop backup supplier sources to support project requirements.

1. Coordinate with relevant teams to support operations and achieve business goals.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Identify, evaluate, and develop new suppliers for EMS, metal, casting, plastic, and packaging products.

1. Conduct supplier price negotiations and Pre-factory audits to ensure competitiveness and compliance.

1. Follow up on supplier quotations and submit them to the project team in a timely manner.

1. Research and analyze the supplier landscape in Thailand, including suppliers’ capabilities, capacities, and competitive advantages.

1. Develop strategic sourcing plans and establish backup supplier resources to support project requirements.

1. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure sourcing strategies align with business objectives.

Working Days and Hours:

• Monday - Friday, 09:00-18:00
• Every Saturday, 08:00-12:00 (Work from home)

Qualifications: Age not exceeding 35–40 years. Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering or Electronic Engineering will be specially considered). At least 5-8 years of work experience in Sourcing raw materials or suppliers in EMS, mechanical parts, casting, plastic, metal, or related industries. Good communication and negotiation skills. Proficient in English (Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing). Ability to communicate in Chinese will be specially considered. Good knowledge and understanding of the supply chain situation, production potential, and industrial advantages in Thailand. Knowledge of mechanical products (metal and plastic parts), electronic products, and related manufacturing processes. Knowledge of Thailand's import and export, including understanding of raw material import duties, will be specially considered. Ability in supplier auditing, supplier development, and operational efficiency improvement. Knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 quality management systems will be specially considered. Excellent Supplier Relationship Management skills. Honest, highly responsible, high work ethics, and able to work well with others. Positive attitude, diligent, patient, able to work well under pressure, and possesses systematic planning and management skills. Able to travel for off-site work or visit suppliers regularly.
