Credit Analyst (12-Month Fixed-Term Contract)

Job Overview Based in Singapore, you will join DZ BANK AG’s Credit team on a 12-month fixed-term contract, reporting locally to the Head of Credit Singapore and functionally to the Regional Department Head, Hong Kong. In this role, you will perform credit risk analysis and credit approvals for corporate and trade finance customers across the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region, while actively supporting the alignment and rollout of Head Office credit risk frameworks, digital credit tools, and standardized credit processes within the Singapore Branch. Key Responsibilities Credit Analysis & Financial Assessment: Spread and analyze balance sheets, profit & loss, and cash flow statements for prospective and existing corporate borrowers in the APAC region. Prepare comprehensive Credit Applications and annual Credit Reviews, including borrower rating assessments, for submission to authorized credit committees. Facility & Loan Documentation: Review bilateral facility offer letters and syndicated loan agreements to ensure strict conformity with approved credit terms and internal standards prior to Head of Credit sign-off. Liaise with external legal counsels, agent banks, and internal stakeholders. Portfolio Monitoring & Risk Tracking: Perform quarterly monitoring and updates of credit exposures in the Integrated Risk Management (IRM) system. Track and monitor financial covenants in SAP in accordance with facility agreement timelines. Prepare ad-hoc risk and portfolio reports (e.g., Credit Default, country, sector, and counterparty profiles) for local Management and Head Office. Head Office Process Alignment & Project Support (12-Month Focus): Support the local team in implementing and operationalizing new Head Office systems and digital tools (e.g., electronic credit files, digital approval workflows). Serve as a key interface between the Singapore Credit Department and Head Office credit risk functions.

Requirements & Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Banking, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline. Experience: Minimum of 6 years of relevant credit analysis / credit risk management experience within corporate or international wholesale banking. Regulatory & Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of both MAS regulations and European/German banking supervisory standards (Bundesbank/BaFin lending rules). Systems Proficiency: Experience with banking credit & risk systems (e.g., SAP, IRM) and strong proficiency in MS Office. Language Skills: Excellent written and spoken English. Fluency in German (written and spoken) is required, as the role involves continuous direct coordination with the Frankfurt Head Office, review of German regulatory documentation, and the implementation of Head Office IT systems and credit directives. Soft Skills: High level of professionalism, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, independent working style, and proven ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
