Relief Art Teacher

We are looking for a creative,dedicated, and adaptable Relief Art Teacher to join our team. We are an inclusive international school located in Orchard Road , providing education to bothmainstream students and students with developmental or academic learning needs.We believe in creating a supportive learning environment where every student isencouraged to participate, express themselves, and reach their potential.

The ideal candidate ispassionate about art and working with children, and is able to deliverengaging, age-appropriate art lessons while adapting activities to meet thediverse learning needs of our students.

What You'll Do

1. Art Teaching &Learning

• Deliver engaging and age-appropriate art lessons based on the lesson plans, materials, and resources provided.
• Guide students in exploring a variety of art techniques, materials, and creative processes.
• Encourage creativity, self-expression, and confidence through meaningful art experiences.
• Adapt activities and instructions to support students with different abilities and learning needs.
• Provide appropriate guidance and supervision when students are using art materials, tools, and equipment.

1. Classroom & ArtRoom Management

• Maintain a safe, respectful, and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable expressing their creativity.
• Manage classroom routines, transitions, and lesson time effectively.
• Ensure art materials, tools, and equipment are used safely and responsibly.
• Guide students in keeping the art room and work areas clean and organised.
• Be flexible and prepared to teach and support different age groups and classes as assigned.

1. Communication &Feedback

• Provide clear and concise handover notes to the regular Art Teacher on lesson progress, student participation, completed work, and any areas requiring follow-up.
• Collaborate positively with teachers, teaching assistants, and other members of the school team.
• Communicate any behavioural, safety, or student-related concerns to the relevant staff or Head of School in a timely manner.

What We're Looking For

• Relevant qualification or training in Art, Art Education, Education, Early Childhood Education , or a related field.
• Candidates who are Singaporeans, Singapore Permanent Residents or have apre-approved pass to work in Singapore will be considered for the role.
• Has relevant working experience with children with learning difficulties.
• Patient, positive, responsible, and comfortable working with students with diverse learning needs.
• Knowledge& skills to manage behavior through appropriate behavior interventionstrategies
• Able to follow lesson plans while adapting activities when necessary to meet students' needs.
