Science Laboratory Technician cum Teaching Assistant

Job Description Prepare materials, specimens and equipment for science lessons and practical tests. Set up, test and assist with science experiments and practical lessons. Clean, maintain and organise laboratories, equipment and storage areas. Ensure laboratory safety, proper chemical labelling, storage and disposal. Maintain inventory records and assist with procurement and deliveries. Care for plants, living specimens and indoor hydroponic systems. Support Science Department activities and school programmes. Report to the Head of Department (Science). No overtime pay provided. Requirements GCE ‘O’ Level with passes in Science subjects, or Nitec/Higher Nitec in a science-related field. Basic knowledge of scientific apparatus and simple experimental setups. Able to handle reagents safely. Prior school laboratory experience is an advantage; fresh graduates are welcome. Responsible, safety-conscious and well-organised. Good communication and housekeeping skills. Punctual, reliable and able to work independently. Adaptable, willing to learn and physically fit for laboratory duties
