Senior Investment Analyst – Healthcare Equities

Dymon Asia is looking for a senior investment analyst to cover the healthcare sector. The skillset needed should be focused on fundamental long/short equity strategies across Indian and broader Asian healthcare, spanning pharmaceuticals, healthcare services, and medical devices. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of healthcare industry and clinical dynamics , regulatory and policy drivers , rigorous valuation , and a keen interest in alpha generation.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Support the portfolio manager in the active management of a fundamental healthcare equity long/short portfolio across India and broader Asia.
  • Lead bottom-up research on pharmaceutical, CDMO/API, healthcare services, and medical device companies, generating long and short ideas with clear catalysts.
  • Build and maintain detailed financial models and valuations (DCF, comparables, sensitivity analysis) to inform price targets and position sizing.
  • Track regulatory, policy, and clinical developments (e.g. US FDA actions, US generics pricing, domestic healthcare policy) and assess their impact on earnings and valuation.
  • Leverage corporate access and industry networks, including management teams, physicians, KOLs, and regulators, to build differentiated views.
  • Maintain a detailed understanding of portfolio drivers and be able to clearly articulate views, performance attribution, and risk exposures.
  • Contribute thematic research (e.g. generics, specialty pharma, healthcare access) to the wider research universe.

Qualification

  • Demonstrated experience in fundamental healthcare equity research covering pharmaceuticals, healthcare services, and/or medical devices.
  • Proven track record of high-conviction stock calls with measurable outperformance against the benchmark.
  • Strong valuation and financial modelling skills (DCF, comparables, sensitivity and scenario analysis).
  • Must be able to do research independently.
  • Must have a sound investment framework and the ability to translate research into actionable long/short positions.
  • Must know how to risk manage and size positions according to PM level risk limits
  • Established relationships with company management and institutional investors across Asia, the US, and Europe.
  • At least 8 years of experience from either sell side or buyside.
  • A strong investment process and framework is a must
  • A medical or scientific background (e.g. MBBS, PharmD, PhD) would be a strong advantage in assessing clinical, regulatory, and pipeline risk.
  • Familiarity with Bloomberg, FactSet, Reuters, and healthcare datasets (FDA, CMS, PubMed) would be advantageous.
  • Must be able to work closely with PMs and contribute to the wider research universe.
