pest control technician

Education:

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience.

Work site environment:

• Confined spaces.
• Odours.

Work setting:

• Urban area.

Tasks:

• Inspect buildings and outside areas to detect signs of infestation.
• Provide estimate of costs.
• Determine type of treatment required.
• Prepare and spray chemical mixture on infested areas.
• Place and set traps to capture and remove animals.
• Advise clients on how to prevent pest infestation.

Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses :

Provincial Pesticide Applicator Licence.

Work conditions and physical capabilities:

Attention to detail. Combination of sitting, standing, walking.
