DCSN (Dubai Center for Special Needs) is a not-for-profit center, regarded as one of the best for people of determination in Dubai. With 160 students enrolled, we are committed to providing exceptional educational and therapeutic support to students with a wide range of disabilities. Our mission is to empower each student to achieve their full potential through individualized programs and a nurturing environment.

The role:

We are looking for an art teacher to join our growing team and deliver engaging and creative art education to students with special educational needs.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in painting, including watercolour and oils, and drawing, and will be passionate about encouraging creativity and self-expression. Experience in ceramics would be an advantage. We are looking for someone who is creative, dedicated and able to bring fresh ideas and enthusiasm to the center.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in art or a related subject, together with a recognised teaching qualification such as a B.Ed. or equivalent.

Minimum of 3 years’ teaching experience, preferably working with students with special educational needs.

Strong skills and experience in painting, including watercolour and oils, and drawing.

Experience in ceramics would be an advantage.

A proven track record of providing high-quality teaching and learning.

Creative and enthusiastic, with the ability to develop engaging art activities suited to students with a range of abilities.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Fluent in spoken and written English.
