Lead a unique scientific and application-driven facility delivering internationally recognised industrial and medical dosimetry expertise.

DTU Health Tech is seeking an experienced leader to head the Dosimetry facility. The facility is internationally recognised for its expertise in industrial and medical dosimetry and provides accredited calibration, measurement, validation and consultancy services to industry, hospitals, authorities and international partners. The facility includes the High Dose Reference Laboratory (HDRL) and medical dosimetry activities and serves as a trusted provider of radiation measurement and quality assurance services in Denmark and internationally.

As Head of Dosimetry, you will be responsible for leading and developing a team of approximately 10 highly skilled employees. You will ensure a motivating and inclusive work environment, support the professional development of staff and set the strategic direction for the facility in close collaboration with the Head of the Department and leadership team at Health Technology, DTU.

The job As Head of Dosimetry, you will have overall responsibility for the facility’s people, operations and strategic development.

Your key responsibilities will include: Setting the professional and scientific direction for the facility, ensuring that its expertise is continuously developed and translated into new opportunities, partnerships and high-quality services. Positioning the facility to remain at the international forefront of industrial and medical dosimetry by actively identifying emerging needs, technologies and application areas. Leading the facility in accordance with DTU's leadership principles, fostering trust, collaboration, accountability and professional excellence. Exercising visible and engaging people leadership for a team of approximately 10 employees. Supporting employee well-being, performance, competence development and engagement. Ensuring the continued development and delivery of high-quality dosimetry services and scientific expertise. Maintaining and developing collaborations with industrial customers and partners, healthcare organisations, authorities[CF3] and international stakeholders. Ensuring compliance with accreditation, quality assurance and regulatory requirements. Managing resources, budgets and operational priorities. Supporting innovation, business development and opportunities arising from Dosimetry’s research and technical capabilities. Strengthening collaboration with other departments and research environments within DTU.

Our expectations of you We are looking for an experienced leader with a PhD degree and relevant working experience within dosimetry, combined with a strong motivation to develop people, build a collaborative team culture and contribute to the broader development of DTU Health Tech.

You likely bring: Demonstrated experience with people leadership and responsibility for employee development, performance and well-being. Experience leading teams of highly specialised professionals in a knowledge-intensive organisation. Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to build trust and motivation across diverse employee groups. Experience with strategic planning, stakeholder management and organisational development. A collaborative leadership style aligned with DTU's values and leadership approach. A PhD degree or equivalent qualifications within medical and industrial dosimetry. Leadership experience from a university or a research institution. Experience with accredited laboratories, quality management systems and regulated environments.

Salary and appointment terms The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations (AC). You are employed as a Senior Executive Officer with personnel management.
