After-Sales Service Technician in Industrial Machines (M/F)

Job Description:

DS Smith Packaging Systems is the mechanization entity of the DS Smith group, specializing in the design and manufacture of end-of-line packaging machines since 1987.

With more than 2,000 machines installed worldwide, we support our customers with high-performance and innovative mechanization solutions. Our range includes complete or modular lines: single or multi-piece case formers, open-top case formers, case packers, cross-stackers, sealers, robotic case packing solutions, and tray loaders.

Based in Dijon (Côte-d'Or), our 5,000 m² production site brings together the teams that design, manufacture, install, and provide follow-up for our equipment for an international clientele.

Reporting to the Customer Service Manager, you will ensure the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our packaging machines at our customers' sites, in France and internationally.

In this capacity, your main missions are as follows:

• Perform start-ups, overhauls, preventive and curative maintenance operations on our equipment
• Diagnose faults and intervene on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and automation aspects
• Perform modifications, improvements, or retrofits of machines
• Train users and the customer's maintenance teams on the operation and maintenance of the equipment
• Guarantee compliance with safety rules during interventions
• Ensure the follow-up and reporting of interventions to the Customer Service Department
• Advise customers on best practices for use and possible evolutions of their installations
• Participate in the continuous improvement of our products through your field experience feedback.

With a technical background at the Bac+2 level in industrial maintenance, electrotechnics, automation, or mechanics, you ideally have initial experience in industrial maintenance, after-sales service, or commissioning of industrial equipment.

You possess solid skills in mechanics, electricity, and pneumatics, as well as notions in automation. You know how to read technical plans and diagrams and are able to quickly analyze a situation in order to propose suitable solutions.

Autonomous, rigorous, and organized, you enjoy field work and customer contact. Possessing good interpersonal skills, you know how to adapt to various interlocutors and operate in an international environment.

Proficiency in technical English is required. A second language would be a plus.

Driving license B indispensable. Frequent travel in France and abroad.
