HGV Mechanic

Drumderry Precast are recruiting for a HGV Mechanic.

Main responsibilities include:

• Repair, servicing and maintenance of HGVs.
• Conducting regular inspections of HGVs to identify faults or issues
• Conducting routine servicing and maintenance of HGVs
• Carrying out repairs to engines and other components of HGVs
• Conducting pre-CVRT inspections and preparing vehicles for CVRT
• Completing accurate and timely records of work undertaken and parts used
• Liaising with other members of the team to ensure efficient running of the workshop
• Ensuring all work is carried out to the highest possible standard in compliance with health and safety regulations

Skills, Knowledge and Experience required:

• A relevant qualification in mechanical engineering or time served
• A minimum 2 years experience working as a HGV mechanic
• A thorough understanding of the mechanical and electrical systems of HGVs
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
