Part-Time Fire Safety Designer / Drafter

About the role We're looking for an experienced part-time drafter who understands SCDF requirements and can prepare fire safety plans and building plans for submission. You'll design to compliance, and our appointed Qualified Person (QP) will review and endorse your drawings. This role suits someone with a current full-time job, a freelancer, or a semi-retired professional who wants flexible, steady project work. What you will do Prepare fire safety plans, building plans and as-built drawings for SCDF submissions, including A&A works and Fire Safety Certificate applications Design fire protection layouts (fire alarm, sprinkler, hose reel, emergency lighting, exit signage and escape routes, compartmentation) in line with the SCDF Fire Code Attend site surveys and measurements when needed (scheduled in advance) Coordinate with our QP and team on submissions, comments and resubmissions Prepare submissions through CORENET / CORENET X What we are looking for At least 3 years' experience preparing fire safety plans or building plans for SCDF submission Strong working knowledge of the SCDF Fire Code Proficient in AutoCAD Able to work independently and meet agreed deadlines Available for about 15–25 hours per week, or on a per-project basis What we offer Flexible working hours and location Regular, ongoing project work Direct involvement in design, not just drafting Potential to move to a full-time role as the business grows Employment type: Part-time (flexible hours; remote work possible, with occasional site visits) Salary: S$150 – S$200 per job basis, depending on experience (per-project rates can be discussed)
