dump truck driver

Drake Excavating (2016) Ltd. is a rapid growing Civil Construction company with projects located throughout the Lower Mainland/Fraser Valley. We are currently seeking a full-time qualified *Class 1 Dump Truck + Pony Driver.*

Trucks are well maintained and serviced regularly. Our yard is located in Maple Ridge and trucks must be parked and picked up from this location.

*Responsibilities*

• Safely operate tandem dump trucks, pony trailers, and other heavy equipment as required.
• Complete pre- and post-trip inspections and report any equipment issues or maintenance needs.
• Transport and haul materials efficiently while maintaining accurate load and trip records.
• Coordinate with foremen, supervisors, dispatch, and operations to ensure materials are delivered and backhauled as required.
• Perform basic equipment checks, including greasing equipment and checking fluids.
• Maintain a clean and well-maintained truck and trailer.
• Identify and report site hazards or conditions that could impact safety or equipment.
• Work efficiently as part of a team in a fast-paced construction environment.
• Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and applicable regulations.
• Operate company vehicles and equipment responsibly and within the limits of your training and experience.

*Skills, qualifications, and requirements:*

• Minimum 5 years of experience
• Valid class 1 driver's license
• Clean driver?s abstract
• Safety conscious
• Experience working on active roadways
• Willingness to work as part of a team and help out the ground crew when needed or when not running the truck
• Ability to maintain the company truck on a regular basis (wash, grease, etc)

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: $32.00-$36.00 per hour
