This is what we are looking for from you

Our IT infrastructure supports systems that ultimately help save lives – in the OR, in the intensive care unit, in firefighting operations. In doing so, you will take responsibility for our automation platform for On-Premises and Cloud infrastructure, in a team of 10 colleagues. In line with our IT strategy, you will work closely with specialist departments and external service providers and will have real decision-making scope regarding standards and further development. Because technology for life begins where no one sees it: in our infrastructure.

Your future tasks:

• Responsibility for standards for CI/CD, Infrastructure-as-Code and container orchestration
• Advising specialist departments on system usage and optimization
• Controlling Incident, Change and Access Management for the platform
• Monitoring system operation, analyzing and resolving malfunctions
• Maintaining the product backlog and moderating user story workshops
• Controlling external service providers – from requirement to quality control
• Planning and technical implementation of concrete further developments of the platform (e.g., new automation pipelines, scaling mechanisms)
• Defining access, security and scaling mechanisms for compute resources, including GPU workloads for AI applications

What you bring with you

• Completed university degree or comparable qualification
• Several years of experience in IT solution design, agile implementation and IT operations
• Programming skills in Python, bash/sh, ideally Rust/Perl
• Know-how in dealing with agile development methods
• Practical experience in CI/CD, IaC (e.g. Terraform, Ansible) and container orchestration and virtualization (e.g. Kubernetes and Proxmox Virtal Environment)
• Experience with access, security and cost control for compute resources
• Knowledge of AI applications and GPU technologies
• Very good English skills
