Location: Christchurch

Working pattern: Hybrid – 2 days in the office, 3 days from home after the initial settling-in period

About the Company

Join a growing consumer goods business supplying some of the UK's biggest retailers, premium retailers, discounters and fashion-led brands.

This is an exciting opportunity for an Account Executive to build a career across account management, product development, project management and commercial operations, working with major retail customers across the health, beauty and household sectors.

You'll work on products you'll see in everyday retail environments, gaining exposure to the full journey from market research and product development through to customer presentations, product listings and delivery .

About the Role

This varied role combines account management, project management, product coordination and commercial understanding .

Initially, you'll support a major retail account across market research, administration, product samples and account management. As you develop your knowledge of the business and customers, you'll gradually take ownership of your own projects and areas of responsibility.

You'll work closely with customers and internal teams across product, operations, commercial and technical , as well as international colleagues and suppliers in the Far East.

It's a great opportunity for someone looking to develop their commercial experience while gaining valuable exposure to major retail accounts and consumer products .

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with retail customers
  • Develop an understanding of customer requirements and identify opportunities for account growth and new product listings
  • Attend customer meetings and support presentations of new products
  • Support the management and development of major retail accounts
  • Coordinate projects across product, commercial, operations and technical teams
  • Support product development, samples and market research
  • Work with international colleagues and suppliers
  • Monitor weekly sales performance and prepare regular sales reports
  • Attend trade visits and relevant industry events
  • Manage multiple projects and priorities, ensuring deadlines are met

About You

We're looking for someone who is commercially minded, organised and confident building relationships .

You may have experience in retail, sales, account management, buying, product or project coordination . Previous B2B experience isn't essential — we're more interested in your commercial mindset, organisation and ability to build strong relationships.

You'll ideally have:

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • An interest in retail, consumer products and product development
  • Good organisation and attention to detail
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Confidence communicating with customers and internal teams
  • A commercial approach and interest in sales performance
  • Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
