As a dishwasher, you are responsible for sanitation and cleanliness in the hotel food and beverage area. This includes proper sanitation of dishes and kitchenware by operating the dish washing equipment in a safe and accident-free manner.

*Duties & Responsibilities:*

• Safely operates dish washing cleaning equipment and stations
• Ensure that all dishes and kitchenware are placed in the proper storing areas
• Floors to be swept and cleaned daily
• Keep all kitchen store areas clean and organized
• Keep all coolers and freezers clean and in orderly manner
• Sanitize and clean all kitchen areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment
• Assist kitchen associates with various food preparation duties and receiving duties
• Remove all garbage, sort, and dispose of utilizing trash compactor and hotel recycling areas
• Ensure all chemicals are handled as per WHMIS standards
• Report to culinary management any shortages of dishwasher, cutlery, glassware or chemicals
• Sinks and stainless steel countertops to be scrubbed before end of shift.
• Performs any other duties as required.

*Preferred Education & Qualifications:*

• Previous dishwashing or stewarding experience an asset
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends.
• Must be able to work in a very physical environment including lifting, pushing, pulling, repetitive bending, twisting and standing
• Strong communications skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Must be a team player but also have ability to work independently
• WHMIS Certification an asset

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00-$17.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
