We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Junior Accountant with a positive, can-do attitude to join our Accounting & Controlling team. Our team is small and we expect a hands-on approach, contributing early on. In this role, you will be an anchor for our day-to-day transactional accounting engine, partnering closely with our Accountant and Senior Controllers to ensure seamless ledger entries, bank reconciliations, and vendor operations. You will be joining a 100% international team operating in an open, highly collaborative atmosphere. As we embark on an exciting growth journey and scale our finance infrastructure, this is a great opportunity for a motivated team player eager to roll up their sleeves, take ownership of daily execution, and learn alongside experienced controllers and finance leads.

Key Responsibilities Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process incoming vendor invoices, run AR aging reports, manage routine payment runs, and handle vendor inquiries.

Expense Management (Pleo): Own the corporate card and employee expense workflows via Pleo, ensuring timely receipt submission, correct tax/VAT coding, and smooth month-end reconciliation to the general ledger.

General Ledger & Bank Reconciliations: Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations, execute routine GL journal entries, and maintain clear balance sheet support schedules.

Transactional Operations: Work alongside our Financial Accountant to ensure accurate postings and consistency across multiple local subsidiary entities.

Month-End Close Support: Assist the controlling team during the month-end closing cycle, ensuring transactional tasks are completed accurately and on time to support a tight closing cadence.

Process & Audit Support: Help maintain clean, digitalized audit trails and contribute practical ideas to continuously streamline daily accounting workflows.

Your Profile Mindset & Cultural Fit: A proactive team player with a strong can-do attitude, eager to take initiative, support colleagues, and thrive within a fast-paced, 100% international environment.

Education: Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent vocational training/AP degree).

Experience: 1–3 years of hands-on bookkeeping or general ledger accounting experience (relevant internship or working student experience within a finance team is welcomed).

Systems & Tools: Hands-on experience with corporate expense tools like Pleo , familiarity with modern ERP systems (e.g., Business Central, NetSuite, NAV), and solid working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

Skills: High numerical accuracy, sharp attention to detail, and a structured, reliable approach to routine daily execution.

Languages: Fluent in English (our official company language). Knowledge of Danish or another European language is a plus.

What We Offer An exciting, mission-driven role in a growing green-tech scale-up.

A warm, highly collaborative, and 100% international finance team culture.

Direct mentorship and clear career pathing supported by senior controllers and finance leads.

A flexible hybrid working setup based at our Copenhagen headquarters.
