The Position
We are looking for a senior data engineering engineer to join the artificial intelligence team and contribute to our AI-based medical assistant.
You will design and optimize the data foundations necessary for the development of artificial intelligence models tailored to the healthcare sector. You will enable the engineering and data science teams to train, evaluate, and deploy models using high-quality, secure, and compliant data.
Your Missions
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable processing pipelines on GCP.
- Implement ingestion and transformation systems for document retrieval and training datasets for language and multimodal models.
- Design and administer NoSQL and vector databases to store and retrieve documents and vector representations.
- Define data schemas, partitioning, and governance rules in collaboration with the machine learning and platform teams.
- Integrate structured and unstructured data: text, voice, images, documents, and metadata.
- Optimize performance and costs with BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, and Vertex AI.
- Contribute to data quality control and traceability.
Profile Sought
- At least 7 years of experience in data engineering, ideally in environments related to artificial intelligence or machine learning.
- Proficiency in GCP, Python, and SQL.
- Experience with NoSQL systems, for example MongoDB, and vector databases, for example FAISS.
- Experience designing data architectures for RAG systems, vector representations, or model training.
- Knowledge of governance, security, and compliance applicable to sensitive data.
- Fluent English in a professional and technical environment.
- Are appreciated: higher education in computer science or data engineering, experience with W&B, MLflow, Braintrust, or DVC, as well as practice with Docker, Kubernetes, and continuous integration and deployment pipelines.
Conditions
- Full-time CDI, based in Paris, Île-de-France.
- Hybrid organization, with up to 2 days of remote work per week.
- Start date as soon as possible.
- Gross annual salary: (range to be completed).
